Outgoing Students
Studies in Europe
Studies abroad within Europe take place within the framework of the EU Erasmus education program. Erasmus is the European Union’s study exchange program, the objective of which is promoting the mobility of European university students and lecturers. As Switzerland is not in the EU, it participates in the program as a partner. This is made possible thanks to the support of the confederation, which finances all Erasmus activities. A prerequisite for Erasmus mobility studies is a bilateral agreement with a partner university.
Studies overseas
As a rule, temporary studies overseas also take place within the framework of bilateral agreements. If there is no agreement, an individual check by the student is likewise necessary.
Studies abroad at universities that are not partners
Studies abroad at universities that are not partners of the HSR are not covered by the Erasmus program. In such cases, students must themselves find out whether temporary studies at the respective university are possible.
